Inc.com recently wrote an article on the 3 Reasons Why Presentations Fail. Here are their reasons:

1. Too Much Info

2. Wrong Point of View

3. Same ol’, Same ol’

I agree with all of these and as someone who sits through multiple presentations each week my biggest issue is too much info. There is nothing worse than an information dump in an informative meeting.

I would also add to the list:

1. Presentation is too long

2. Information isn’t relevant to the audience

3. Lack of strong presentation skills by presenter

The more role playing you can do before making that big presentation the better!
